Facility and Location
We deliver excellent health care in a hospital that is located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes region. Our employees enjoy a modern facility with the latest in medical equipment while also enjoying the benefits of small town living coupled with the year-round recreation of a resort community.

Compensation
Lakes Regional Healthcare endeavors to remain externally competitive and internally fair. We continuously monitor wage ranges throughout the healthcare industry and implement increases based on market activity as well as individual merit. Compensation packages may also include shift differentials, call back pay, and holiday pay.

Schedule Flexibility
Employees have the opportunity to work on a full-time, part-time, or caual/as needed basis. We offer a variety of shifts as well as flexibility in accommodating personal needs.

Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Benefits
All employees immediately accrue Paid-Time Benefit (PTB) hours and Short-Term Disability (STD) hours. Accrual rates increase with years of service. Paid-Time Benefit hours may be accrued from year-to year, or sold back to the hospital twice per year.

Health Insurance
Health insurance is available to full-time employees. Insurance is effective the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is available to full-time employees and is effective on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Vision Insurance
Vision insurance is available to full time employees. Insurance is
effective the first of the month following 30 continuous days of active employment. The vision plans is

Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS)
Participation in this defined benefit retirement program begins immediately for all employees. Upon leaving the organization, your contributions will be refunded, or if vested (4 years), may be left in the system until retirement.

Training, Continuing Education and Educational Grants
We require the completion of regular mandatory education and provide continuing educational opportunities within the hospital. In addition, a limited number of educational grants are offered each spring and fall for employees pursuing a formal educational program.

Health and Wellness
Our employee assistance program is a confidential service designed to help employees and their families cope with a wide range of personal concerns including family, legal, financial, emotional, and work-related issues that may affect their daily living. We also offer a Bedelle YMCA membership at a discounted rate to all of our employees.

Life Insurance
The hospital provides a term life insurance policy for all full-time employees with a benefit equivalent to each employee’s annual salary(up to $50,000), at no cost to the employee.

There is also additional life insurance that may be purchased for the employee, their spouse, and dependent children.

Health Care and Dependent Care Spending Accounts
All employees may reduce federal, state, and social security taxes through participation in our section 125 cafeteria plan. Eligible expenses include, but are not limited to, childcare, unreimbursed medical, dental, and vision care.

Investment Opportunities
Tax sheltered annuities IRA's are accepted and can be set up as a paycheck deduction. Employees are also able to participate in a 457 plan.
