Another New Physical Therapist Providing Care at LRH

Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) is happy to announce their newest member to their Rehabilitation Services team. Sarah Wyatt, Doctor of Physical Therapy, recently joined the group.

Wyatt received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Buena Vista University. She graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Des Moines University in May. She described her approach to providing care by being hands-on and caring. “I use manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, muscle energy techniques, and joint mobilization combined with integrative exercise programs to help patients achieve their maximum potential,” she said. “I enjoy the open communication I have with patients, getting to know them personally and professionally. My mantra is to do my best to put the ‘care’ in ‘healthcare’.”

Wyatt commented that she enjoys working with patients of various ages and conditions. Originally from Exira, Iowa, she is excited about the opportunity to work at Lakes Regional Healthcare. “There is a lot going on here – a new area is being constructed for Rehabilitation Services, there’s a new team of therapists that are treating a constantly increasing number of patients, the therapists are fantastic and up on the newest therapies and treatments, plus I get to work in a smaller community which is a love of mine because it allows me to get to know my patients that much more,” she said.

Those interested in more information are encouraged to contact their local family physician or call LRH Rehabilitation Services at 712-336-8651.
