LRH Welcomes First Baby of 2012
Congratulations to Jennifer and Moses Astello of Estherville. They are the proud parents of Sophia Marie, Dickinson County’s New Year’s Baby. Sophia was born at Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) on January 3 at 1:00 am weighing six pounds, eight ounces and 19 1/4 inches in length.
Upon learning she had the New Year’s baby, Jennifer said, “I hadn’t heard that the hospital did this, and thought it was a blessing. I think it means Sophia’s a blessed girl getting all these gifts.”
LRH and lakes area businesses donated gifts for the first baby born in the new year. LRH Obstetrics Supervisor Katie Furman said, “For example, Mom and Dad will get gift certificates for dinner and baby will get teddy bears and blankets and a savings account and a savings bond. These are just a few of many gifts I think they will enjoy.”
