LRH to Offer Free Diabetic Foot Care Presentation
Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) and Northwest Iowa Bone, Joint & Sports Surgeon podiatrist Tim Blankers are hosting an upcoming presentation on diabetic foot care. The program will help those in attendance learn how to care for their feet, identify complications, and receive treatment. In addition, insulin levels and the use of insulin pens to successfully manage diabetes will also be discussed. LRH Registered Dietitian Beth Samuelson and Lynn Hughes, RN and Certified in Diabetic Management, will also be available to answer questions.
The presentation will be held on Tuesday, June 19 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. in the Big Spirit room in LRH’s Education Center, in the hospital’s lower level. Seating is limited, so those planning on attending are to register beforehand by calling 712-336-8785 and are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early. Admission is free and a light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
