LRH Foundation to Host Grape Escape Wine Dinner and Auction
Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) has been the birthplace of many Iowa Great Lakes residents for over 50 years. Dedicated to not only continuing that tradition, but to becoming the premier place to have a baby in northwest Iowa, LRH Foundation will host the Grape Escape, a wine dinner and auction on Friday, September 7, to benefit their soon-to-be constructed Birth Center.
The event will be held at the Pearson Lakes Art Center beginning at 6:00 pm. It will kick off with wine tasting, silent auction bidding, and mingling followed by a brief presentation by LRH President and CEO Jason Harrington. A gourmet five-course dinner will be served at 7:30 pm, followed promptly by a live auction.
The dinner will be prepared by local chef Jeff Lenz and include entrees such as Summer Lobster of cold tail meat, avocado, pink grapefruit, Graettinger corn, heirloom tomatoes, fresh tarragon and olive oil and Roasted Filet Mignon. Each entrée will be paired with a specially selected wine by Okoboji Wines.
Many will enjoy the silent and live auction items up for bid, including pheasant hunts, photography sessions, private gourmet dinners for eight, and much more. LRH Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Gustafson said, “We’re thrilled with the auction items many local residents and businesses donated for this event. It really speaks to the generosity of our area as well as the dedication to advancing healthcare in the Iowa Great Lakes.”
