Emergency Services Lakes Regional Healthcare's highly skilled emergency service areas provide care on a 24-hour basis every day to individuals who have an emergent health care need.
The hospital has five ambulances, each fully equipped with the most modern technology and available any time by calling 911. Paramedics and EMTs specially trained to deal with critical health care emergencies provide care within the ambulances, in patients’ homes and accident sites, as well as in the emergency room when needed.
The emergency room physicians and nurses also have special training and additional expertise in caring for acutely ill or injured persons. Ever aware of the emotional component of most emergency situations, these special teams act quickly yet kindly in making diagnoses and providing treatment.
The emergency department is located just inside the hospital’s west entrance.
