Ben Davis, ATC Certified Athletic Trainer Originally from Spencer, Iowa, Ben received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa, where he worked primarily with the UNI Panthers football team. Prior to joining Sports Medicine Northwest in 2009, he served as an athletic trainer for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. Ben provides athletic training for Spirit Lake, Jackson County Central, Sibley-Ocheyedan, and Graettinger-Terril schools, and for Iowa Lakes Community College.
Brad Rohwer, DPT, ACT Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Athletic Trainer Brad has an extensive knowledge and experience base that benefits student-athletes. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Buena Vista University (BVU), where he was an All-Conference basketball player and in 1993 received his Master’s Degree and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. Brad’s education expanded to the point of receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 from Des Moines University. He has taught extensively in the BVU exercise science and sports medicine curriculum while practicing physical therapy and working closely with middle school, high school, and college athletes, coaches, and parents, both as a Physical Therapist and as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Jason Munden, DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology in 2007 from Minnesota State University. He then went on to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. A sports enthusiast, Jason has worked with a variety of athletes of all ages as a coach and Physical Therapist.
Sarah Wyatt, DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy Sarah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Buena Vista University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and had two minors: General Science and Coaching. She recently graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Des Moines University and is knowledgeable in the newest treatments and techniques. Sarah has been an athlete herself most of her life, and has worked with high school athletes in various sports in Storm Lake, Carroll, and New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Beth Samuelson, RD Registered Dietitian Beth has several years of experience counseling patients for weight management, disease prevention, and treatment of their health condition through individualized meal plans. She has given many presentations at various community activities and been involved with students from Spirit Lake, Okoboji, and Lake Park schools about nutrition, sports nutrition, and preventative health. She particularly enjoys taking complex nutritional information and helping others to apply the knowledge in an achievable, simplistic way. Beth received her Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Dietetics from Iowa State University.
Sports Medicine Northwest and Lakes Regional Healthcare work closely with many healthcare providers throughout the area.
